Movement Iconography & Radical Campus Tour: in the first half of this session, while we make some of our own art, we'll be having a discussion about art and different iconic images in the history of social movements. In the second half of this session, we'll take a tour around campus and highlight some of the campus's radicalism, past and present.SFU Disorientation: in the first half of this session, we'll get to discuss the history and structure of SFU - all the things you need to know if you're trying to make change on this campus! In the second half, we'll take some time to reflect on all of the different roles that need to be played in social movements and where we all see ourselves fitting in this ecosystem. Lunch will be provided.Just Words: A Radical Poetry Night: after the first day of classes, what could be better than some powerful and inspiring poetry! This event is open-mic style with some special guests we're excited for you to meet. Food will be provided on a first-come, first-serve basis.Sorry to Bother You - Screening & Discussion: we'll be finishing up our Radfrosh week with a powerful film screening. Sorry to Bother You, directed by Boots Riley, is an afrosurrealist film that is a critique of capitalism. After, we'll have a discussion facilitated by the Young Communist League of Vancouver. You wont wanna miss it. Light snacks and refreshments will be provided.
